Cross Country

Junior middle distance coaching.

is aimed at helping athletes ages 8 – 13yrs old to prepare for the cross country season which starts in April.

Athletes will train to improve technique, strategy and endurance. This will enable

athletes to be more competitive in their respective distances in the lead

up to school cross-country, zone and area cross country carnivals.

Goals

• Develop sound off road running

• Improve endurance

• Develop racing strategies

• Injury Prevention

Sessions are facilitated by Russell and Erica Cox and coached by experienced

middle distance athlete, Elly Pawsey (under the watchful eyes of head coaches).

Elly is an experienced athlete having competed at both Athletics NSW State

events and Athletics NSW Cross Country events. Elly remains an active athlete

training and competing in a range of events and across multiple distances.

With schools planning cross-country carnivals in early Term 2 we have

decided to begin this squad now. Training sessions will be on a pay as you

go basis for the remainder of term 1.

Training sessions available by appointment @$20 per session and start

Wednesday 22nd March.

Payment made on the day of the session – no upfront cost.

• Open to athletes ages 8 – 13yrs old – and limited to12 athletes.

• Monday afternoons 4:00 - 4:45pm

• Wednesday afternoons 4:00 – 4:45pm

• Duration – normal public school terms (usually 10 weeks)

• Squad fee $100.00 (per athlete/squad/term) or for 2 sessions a week

$180.00 (Discounts available for siblings)
