Success for REC at Coast2Coast international event

Earlier this school holidays 4 of our amazing REC Athletes headed up to the Gold Coast Performance centre to compete agaisnt atheltes from america, New Zealand and other Oceania islands.

Erica C, Daniel C, Maddie D and Mikayla D competed across a three day competition escaping the cold Sydney weather. Competing in many events across the track and field, the team managed to bring home 8 medals between them.

Erica Cox: Open women Shot put, Discus and Javelin (Bronze)

Daniel Cox: U18 110m Hurdles (Bronze), Long jump, 100m Sprint, Shot put and 60m Sprint (Gold)

Maddie Duncombe: Opens women 100m Sprint, 4x100m Relay (Gold), Discus, Long jump (Bronze), 60m sprint (Silver)

Mikayla Duncombe: U18 Shot put, U18 Discus (Bronze), Opens women Discus (Bronze)
