Middle Distance / XC
Our middle distance and cross country coaching is aimed at helping athletes ages 8 – 15yrs old to prepare and maintain their endurance base so they are best prepared to compete during the the athletics season (August -April) and into the cross country season which kicks off in April.
Sessions are programmed to assist athletes to improve technique, strategy and endurance both on and off the track. This is essential for injury prevention. Careful attention is given to developing athletes’ race strategies. This enables athletes to be more competitive in their respective distances across 800m, 1500m, 3000m events during the athletics competition season as well as the lead up to school cross-country, zone and area cross country carnivals.

TRAINING TIMES:
• Wednesday 4:30pm (Prepaid Squad members and casual attendance)
• Thursday 5:30pm (casual pay as you go only at this stage)
Sessions are an hour in duration and are facilitated by Russell and Erica and coached by experienced middle distance athletes Isaac Siebert and Elly Pawsey both accredited AA Level 1 coaches.
Payment options:
Discounted Prepaid school term squad fee - $ 150/term
Casual PAYG attendance - $25 per session.
