Sprint Training - Ryde
Regenesis Fitness, offers sprint training sessions for athletes at Dunbar Park, Marsfield.
Various coaching options are available depending on what might suit athletes best. These range from squad training groups, semi-private sessions with up to 4 athletes and then one on one private sessions.
Training Sessions
Regardless of what session you would like your athletes to attend each session is designed to build on the knowledge and skills developed in prior sessions. Our focus is on technique to improve sprinting ability through biomechanical efficiency. Strength and power development is our secondary focus in season but will have more emphasis during winter.
Activities will include - sled pulls, parachute sprints, ladder drills, banded accelerations and sprinting repetitions. Technical feedback is assisted through video analysis.

Tuesdays 4:30pm (Intermediate 10-12yrs)
Tuesdays 5.30pm (Senior Squad 13yrs and older)
Wednesday 4:30pm (Junior squad 8-11yrs)
School Term 2 & 3 (Winter)
Tuesdays 4:15pm (Intermediate & Senior)
Wednesday 4.15pm (Juniors 8-11yrs)
Squads are large group training sessions that run for an hour to 90 min depending on the days content.
Prior to joining a squad we highly recommend that athletes attend a minimum of 3 semi-private sessions to ensure athletes have the basics in place and our coaches understand their strengths and weaknesses.
To secure your athletes place in the squad prepayment is required for the school term. As places are limited and cost per session for squads is low, please note we do not refund or offer make up sessions for absence due to illness, unavailability and injury. Essentially your payment secures your athletes spot in the squad for the coaching block (school term). We encourage athletes to attend all the sessions in each block to maximise their development. If your athlete is starting with us mid way through the block a half term payment of $85 is available. As a rule training sessions go ahead despite the weather, but in the event that we cancel a session we will offer a make up session for squad members.
Discounted Squad Fee - $150 (1 session/week for the school term).
Semi Private Training
Training Times
Monday 4:15pm - Semi Private (Coach Russell)
Wednesday 4:30pm - Semi Private (Coach Russell)
Semi-private sessions are a great introduction to the drills and skills required for speed development. These small group sessions allow for a greater technical focus while still maintaining a group atmosphere.
Sessions vary with coaches booking between 1 - 4 athletes per group and sessions are an hour in duration.
Semi-Private session fee - $50/session.
One on One Training
Our Goal is to help as many athletes as possible, so we encourage athletes to training in the squads and/or semi private sessions. However private sessions are available for more technical elements or focused technical correction.
Subject to availability - $130 per hour.
Casual Sessions - PAYG
TRAINING TIMES
Thursday 4pm - Pay as you go (Coach Russell/Erica)
Throughout the week there are various training sessions available to athletes already doing semi-private or squad sessions. These sessions are offered on Thursdays and sometimes over the weekend. They are additional sessions to help prepare athletes for competition and improve conditioning for the upcoming season.
Generally athletes 12yrs and older are encouraged to do two sprint specific sessions per week to solidify skill development and maintain speed.
Sessions are communicated to our community and group numbers will vary depending on demand.
PAYG sessions - $25 per session.

One on one Private sessions - $130/session

Wet Weather
Training will go ahead despite weather, either on the grass track of on the synthetic long jump run ups. If we have to cancel a squad session due to extreme weather, we may add a session to the end of the block to ensure the term has an appropriate number of sessions (min 8-10 per term).
Additional Information
As sports and fitness coaches, both with a Level 2 Athletics Australia accreditation Russell and Erica are caring and passionate track and field coaches and now masters athletes to boot :) Our assistant coaches Jack, Maddie and Daniel are mentored by Russell and Erica and have completed the AA Level 1 coaching accreditation.
Focusing on individual clients needs is a crucial part of running a successful fitness studio and personal training business. This translates directly to your athlete receiving individual attention and correction within a group environment.
Russell and Erica are Ryde Little Athletics parents and their own children attend the training sessions. We look forward to working with you and your athlete.
